Oil and collage on canvas
A mélange of geography and motifs plotting the possible journey of the ancestors from the Biblical Middle East via land and sea....from ancient Middle Eastern pottery symbols in the South West, to a plan of the little village of Zeludok in Belarus up in the North East....some Ethiopian words in the East (no, my geography isn't great!) and some suggestions of the seas - Mediterranean, Black Sea and Caspian. Persian words float across the scene - my name, Poll, پل and 'Safar' سفر , 'Journey'.
