Here's another piece in the Safar series which includes names, words, motifs and symbols which are significant to me. Farsi, Hebrew, and English are the languages of choice, with 'luck' and 'love' naturally being two of the most important words over 5000-odd years of imagined journeys and history.

I made and printed a few little monoprint blocks from plasticine and lino to print and include in this collage and I rolled up paint over some lovely old lace I bought in the Oxfam for printing. Fishes, symbols of hospitality, also swim across the surface, as well as some beads from my collection. I had a lot of fun making this painting over several weeks.
