I hope this collage looks a bit mysterious....it's supposed to be! I had fun doing the transfer drawing of the little birds.

I inked up a page of the phone directory with black paint — like a carbon paper, if anyone can remember what that is — put it ink-side-down on the paper and drew 'blind' on the reverse with a sharp empty nib. It's guesswork, so — like much of life, really — the result is a mixture of skill and luck!

The purple and ochre symbol is taken from Kabbalah, and references the spirit of Venus. Very Goddess-y, and mysterious.
