The process of making a new piece often starts with a collage, made from monoprints and photocopies of all sorts of images and textures, including my previous paintings. Some of the paintings have evolved from the collages or from other paintings also included in this collection, hence the word ’study’ in their titles.  ‘Zoombird’, for example, developed from the top LH area of the painting ‘Granada’.
